Digital Playground Too Slow
From the Vortex # 3
At long last here a few more entries. Two (or three) of them are actually present, the four subsequent to and including 15 November 2007 added to the completeness and dates back to the big gap on the 10th November to close. Obviously, many news services and restrict Internet users are actually only on information and news in blog author and let the news pages of the official (authors) Homepages completely ignored. Or am I mistaken? Is there somebody out there ...?

The Exposed in Russian?
For a change, another news from the probability Tavern:
appeared obviously in the Moscow Zakharov publishing a Russian translation of the edited by Andreas Eschbach SF anthology A TRILLION EURO - and as early as autumn 2007, as my literary agent told me after I asked him once to search for information. Thus was the book in a double well with Andreas' novel A BILLION DOLLAR published, ie in the "package" as it was originally planned as part of the paperback edition in Germany. Apparently there has been only "a very small number of papers-copies" of the Russian translation. I guess exactly one, that must have disappeared somewhere in the licensing department of Lübbe-Verlag. Even Andrew was previously only known that the translation rights were sold for the anthology.
I am represented in ONE TRILLION EURO with my short story The Exposed, I'll wait of course look forward to a piece of "evidence" for the showcase. But to the Moscow Lübbe, possibly by Lübbe to Andrew to Brittany and from there reached sometime in 2023 to me, I have asked for safety reasons, a Russian friend to try to obtain a few copies. Until then, there is at least times the cover of the Russian edition, so to speak as evidence Exhibit A.
Addendum: end of April, I finally got a copy of the Russian A TRILLION EURO hardcover edition may fish from the letter box - along with a book package from the USA. The talk is probably a postal summit.

From Beyond Metropolis "is" The Black Mirror "
The Rottensteiner Franz issued U.S. anthology of German and Austrian SF stories, in my story ASTRO SAPIENS will be represented, has a new (and probably final) names remain: THE BLACK MIRROR AND OTHER STORIES OF GERMAN AND AUSTRIAN SCIENCE FICTION, the full title. Translated into American, the stories of Mike Mitchell, as the release date is autumn 2008 is envisioned. At $ 75.00 (hardcover) and $ 28.00 (paperback), published in the Wesleyan University Press collection is not really a bargain, but perhaps the U.S. dollar is already in the fall at 2.00 € ...
THE BLACK MIRROR comprises 25 short stories by 24 authors from the years 1871 to today. Represented are Kurd Lasswitz, Ludwig Hevesi, Carl Grundy, Paul Scheer, Bart, Hans Dominik, Otto Willi Gail, Egon Friedell, H. Franke, Ernst Vlcek, J. and G. Brown, Erik Simon, K. and A. Steinmueller, Carl Amery, Horst Pukallus, Peter Schattschneider, Wolfgang Jeschke, Michael Marrak, Thorsten cooper, Michael K. Iwoleit, Oliver Henkel, Helmuth W. Mommers and Andreas Eschbach (ordered after the first year of the texts). refers

& New Interview on Fantastic-Couch.de
In the March issue of the online magazine Fantastic coffee a little hidden when scrolling down the reference to a new, rather extensive interview (the first 3 years, I think), which Carsten Kuhr in January 2008 at the Publication of the Aion - CHILDREN OF THE SUN, by me.
"writes Michael Marrak Synergy SF-designed computer games and rants on German genre awards. We asked him why," is in reference to the interview on the homepage to read. This is really one third false one third and one-third just makes distorted. Computer Games I've never developed and I will certainly do because of their short half-life never will. And as for the Genre Awards, the reader may like to do in the context of an idea of what it really is. It is equal to the first question of the interview.
